With BC Pro, it is important to have accurate project times because these are the times subcontractors will see for tender due dates, job walk dates, and RFI due dates. This can be very impactful for projects that may be located in a different time zone than the one you are in.
Project times are set when creating your project and can be edited at any time in the project under the “Information” tab.
Each individual user sees time based on the timezone set on their account. For example:
- Bob is a general contractor in California, USA and sets tenders to be due at 2:00PM PST on his project in his account.
- One of Bob's invited subcontractors is located in New York, USA and their account is in East Coast Time (EST).
- That subcontractor will personally see that tenders are due at 5:00PM EST, which corresponds to 2:00 PM PST that Bob set.
Therefore, when setting times for a project, consider where your subcontractors are located and what time it will be for them if their location differs from your time zone. Then set your project's dates and times in your time zone according to the time you want your subcontractors to see.
