What is a follower?
A follower is a coworker who you want to have access to tender information including files, messages, tender forms, and tracking.
To add coworkers as followers on tenders
Within a tender, navigate to the "Overview" tab.
In the “Team Summary” section, click the person icon under "Other Followers".
Enter your coworker's name and press "Enter" on your keyboard when their name appears. You can also click on their name in the list.
If your coworker’s name does not populate, type their email in the search bar then click “Invite [email address” or press “Enter” on your keyboard.
Once a coworker is added as a follower, they will receive an email notification and the tender will appear on their Tenders dashboard.
Please note that if you add a coworker, but they are listed under "Vendors", they will not have full access to the tender. Vendors are typically people who are not in the same company as you. Learn more here. However, this could also indicate your coworker does not have an account in BuildingConnected. If your coworker does have an account and works with you in the same company, please contact support and we can advise on what is occurring and help ensure your coworker has full access.
To resend an invitation to a follower or remove followers from tenders
In the “Team Summary” section of a tender, click on the icon containing the initials or photo of the follower then click “Remove" or "Resend Invite Email".
Removing a coworker will cause them to no longer have access to view any information, files, or messages associated with the tender. Your coworker will not receive a notification that they were removed as a follower and the tender will be removed from their Tenders dashboard.
