You can import the bid form templates you create into projects to eliminate the need to manually create bid forms for each new project you publish. See How general contractors can create bid form templates (BC Pro).
In this article, you'll learn how to:
- Import a bid form template into a project bid form
- Import a bid form template into a scope-specific bid form
Import a bid form template into a project bid form
When a project bid form is imported into a project, it replaces the existing project bid form. Additionally, importing a project bid form will not automatically import any scope-specific bid forms from the template.
Click on a project to open it.
Click on the “Bid Forms” tab.
Click on “Import a Form".
In the window that appears, use the “Search” box to find a bid form template by name. You can also scroll through the list below the search box to find the template you wish to use. This list consists of:
- Templates you have previously created.
- Customized bid forms used on active projects.
- Customized bid forms used on closed projects.
You can also search for templates that were created by other members of your company. To view these, click on the “My Office” or “My Company” tabs.
Click on the template you want to import and click on “Use this Form".
Importing a bid form template into a scope-specific bid form

Click on the bid package to which you want to import a bid form.
Next, click on the “Bid Form” tab.
Click on "Edit" and select "Use bid form template" in the drop-down menu.
In the window that appears, use the “Search” box to find a bid form template by name. You can also scroll through the list below the search box to find the template you wish to use. This list consists of:

You can also search for templates that were created by other members of your company. To view these, click on the “My Office” or “My Company” tabs.
Click on the template and select the scope-specific bid form you want to import, click on “Use this Form.”
It is not possible to import multiple scope-specific bid forms at once. Each bid form has to be individually imported into a project’s bid package. You will immediately see the updated bid form. Please note that importing a scope-specific bid form will replace anything you already have in the Bid Package Bid Form.
