You can store internal files related to a subcontractor within the Bid Leveling tool. This feature allows you to link and conveniently access private files such as internal mark-ups of submitted proposals.
To upload a private attachment on a subcontractor's proposal
Note: A subcontractor must have submitted in BuildingConnected for you to be able to attach internal files in reference to their proposal. If you received their proposal outside of BuildingConnected, you can first upload their proposal on their behalf and then attach your own files.
Navigate to the “Bid Leveling” tab. Scroll through the subcontractor's proposal and in the "Private attachments" section, you can upload files in two ways:
1. Click "upload files".
2. Drag files directly to the “upload files” button.
Note: The maximum file size for private attachments is 25 MB per file.
If you clicked "upload files", select files from your computer. Your attachments will automatically start uploading and appear in a list in the "Private attachments" section. These files cannot be viewed directly in BuildingConnected so team members will need to download to view them. Continue reading to learn how to download private attachments.
Only project team members can upload, download, and delete these private attachments. These attachments are private to your company. They are not seen by any of the subcontractors.
