As a general contractor with BC Pro, you may see "Additional Items" appear on the proposals in your Bid Leveling tab.
There are two ways that these "Additional Items" get added under each bidder's proposal.
- When a bidder submitted their proposal on BuildingConnected, they added an additional line item that was not originally on your bid form.
- This line item was once a part of your bid form and you have since deleted it. If any bidders submitted bids with that item you deleted, it becomes an "Additional Item".
"Additional Items" are maintained for history and for your tracking of any additional costs that the subcontractor has provided. Therefore, they cannot be removed. However, we understand that when leveling bids, you may not want to include certain amounts added by bidders or include these historic costs in your final proposal. You do have the ability to toggle them on and off accordingly.
To toggle on or off an "Additional Item"
Click on the toggle button next to that line item.
When you toggle it off, you will see that the toggle will go the left and gray out. The leveled bid value for this proposal will adjust accordingly to not include this item. You can click the same spot again to toggle it back as desired.
