What are “Company Tags” and how to use them

What are company tags?

Company tags are short internal notes you can add next to company profiles so that you can flag important information and to easily companies when adding subcontractors to projects.

The purpose of company tags

Adding company tags allows you to keep track of your own preferences as well as the preferences of subcontractors you work with. For example, you can add the tag “Preferred” if you like working with this company. You can also add CSI codes next to company profiles.

Who can see company tags?

Company tags are visible to all internal employees, but members of the company being tagged will not have access to the tags. These are strictly for you and your coworkers’ benefit only.

How to add and remove company tags

You can add tags in various locations throughout the platform where the company's name is clickable. Click the company's name to open their profile. For example: 

• Use the search bar at the top
  
  
  
  
• On the "Contacts"/"Our Vendors" page
  
  

Click on the “Edit Tags” button.

To enter a tag, you can either select from the drop-down menu if you have previously entered tags, or simply begin typing the tag you’d like to add. Once the tag is written, press the enter key on your keyboard.

If you’d like to add more than one tag, click anywhere next to the tags that have already been selected and begin typing the new tag or select another from the drop-down menu.

To remove a tag, click the "x" icon next to the specific tag. 





Once you have added the appropriate tags, click away to enter the drop-down menu if applicable, and click "Save."

How to delete company tags from the drop-down menu

If you would like to delete a company tag from your account so that it is no longer available to use in the drop-down menu, please click here to contact our support team. Please provide us with a list of the tags you would like removed and we would be happy to help!
