BuildingConnected’s Tender Comparison feature makes it easy to confirm that the subcontractors you’ve invited to a project are all pricing the same trades or services. If your subscription to BC Pro includes Tender Comparison, continue reading to learn how to enable and disable plugs.
Use plugs to adjust for any line items that the subcontractor might have incorrectly accounted for. The ability to add plugs is enabled by default when you access the Tender Comparison tab. Additionally, plugs are not visible to the subcontractor; they're only visible to your team.
When plugs are enabled, you see a "Adjusted Tender” and a “Base Tender” for each proposal. The "Adjusted Tender" takes into account any cost adjustments you've made with plugs for any line items you have or private line items you've added in “Other Costs.” Your “Base Tender” is the original amount that the subcontractor submitted in their proposal.
To disable plugs, look for the “Plugs off” button and click on it. To turn plugs back on, click on the button once more so that is says, “Plugs On.”
