How to resolve the “XML File” error

BuildingConnected allows you to download files that the main contractor has uploaded for you. This allows you to review and reference plans and trade specific information on the project.

Errors on files are a rare occurrence, but continue reading to help troubleshoot the error: “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.”

Please note that this is not a BuildingConnected error. This error is the result of the file name that the main contractor used for their project file. Specifically, this error occurs when the file name includes a long dash (--).

To resolve this issue, the file owner will have to re-upload the file with a hyphen instead of a long dash or with a different file name entirely.
