If you are a head contractor who has completed the tendering process for a project, you can close the project on BuildingConnected to prevent subcontractors from submitting tenders, submitting revisions, and sending messages.
To close a project
Begin by navigating to your Projects page from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the project you would like to close.
Click “Close.”
Designate whether your company won or lost, or skip this step if the project was negotiated work.
Enter any information your company would like to maintain for internal tracking purposes then click “Close Project.” Please note that any information entered in this section, as shown below, is visible to project members within your company only and bidders are unable not able to see this. These fields are private to your company.
In addition, as noted, subcontractors will no longer be able to submit tenders or send messages once this project has been closed, but they will still have access to the project for their own internal tracking.
Please note you can also close a project from within the project by clicking the drop-down in the top right-hand corner then clicking “Close Project.”
You can find closed projects in the “Closed Projects” tab. You will still be able to view project information, files, messages, and bids by locating your project there.
