Trade-specific tender forms overview (BC Pro) As a head contractor with BC Pro, you can create tender forms that specifically meet your company’s needs. This capability saves you time by allowing you to store the tender forms that you create so that you can easily use them for future projects.
Trade-specific (i.e. tender package) tender forms are only visible to subcontractors who were invited to that tender package. These tender forms are organized into sections under which relevant questions can be added. This article explains the different categories that are available in trade-specific tender forms so that you can accurately organize your trade-specific questions.
Please visit the “Tender Forms” section of our help center for additional resources.

Line items
Line items are trade items that require separate pricing. If you want a more detailed breakdown of costs, add line items so that subcontractors provide pricing accordingly.
Please note that when you do not add line items to a tender form, subcontractors are only asked to provide what is included in the default version of a trade-specific tender form: a lump sum amount. The lump sum item that is included in the default version of trade-specific tender forms is the same name as the tender package, as illustrated in the screenshot below.
Alternates
Alternates are items in the trade that are not essential to a base tender but which could be potentially included in the final cost of the tender package. The decision to include items under “alternates” will be based on the final agreement with the owner.
Inclusions
Inclusions are trade confirmations within a subcontractor tender. Specifically, these are “Yes” or “No” questions that confirm that the subcontractor has a trade item within the tender. The answers that subcontractors provide to inclusion questions allow you to determine if they are missing any trade in their tender.
Trade-specific information and unit costs
Trade-specific information and unit costs refer to clarifications of earlier trade items with specific details on quantity.
Trade-specific Clarifications
This section is meant for notes, disclaimers or any additional clarifications for subcontractors. No response is required or available for items in this section.
While individual questions can be added under each section, it is not possible to add additional sections to trade-specific tender forms.
