A project's owning office is important for both you and your subcontractors.
For your subcontractors, the owning office is the office listed in the "Client Details" on your email invitation and is also shown on the subcontractor's side of BuildingConnected. It can help inform them about who they are working with within your company.
For you, to ensure your company’s project history remain accurate and up to date, the owning office on each project should be listed corrected so that you can track it in your project analytics.
To change a project’s owning office
In your project, navigate to the “Information” tab then click “Edit Information.”
In the “Private Information” section, click the drop-down next to “Owning Office" and select a new office in your company.
Click “Save Project.”
Please note that changing an office’s owning office will not send an email notification to the new office, and it will not alter who has access to the project.
