BuildingConnected simplifies the process of creating projects and inviting subcontractors to tender. Project notifications are an important feature in BuildingConnected because they allow subcontractors to stay up to date on any changes that have been made to a project. This article explains which project notifications are automatically sent to subcontractors and which notifications should be sent out manually.
Which project notifications are sent out automatically?
When a project is published, email notifications are automatically sent to the subcontractors who were invited to tender. Additionally, subcontractors are automatically sent an email notification when a messages is sent using the project’s built-in messaging tool.
I uploaded new files to a project. Are subcontractors automatically notified?
Subcontractors are not automatically notified when new files are added to a project or tender package. As a best practice, we recommend using the built-in messaging tool to notify subcontractors of any newly added documents or files. The messaging tool allows you to message specific groups or everyone who was invited to the project, regardless of tender package.
I just awarded a tender. Was that subcontractor automatically notified?
Subcontractors are not automatically notified when head contractors award a tender. We recommend using the project’s built-in messaging tool to let the awarded subcontractor company know that they won or lost the tender. You can customize this message to include relevant details.
I just closed a project in my account. Were the invited subcontractors automatically notified?
Subcontractors invited to a project are not automatically notified when the project is closed. However subcontractors can identify when a project is closed because they are no longer able to submit tenders or send messages through the project’s messaging tool.
