How to import bid packages into projects

BuildingConnected allows you to import past bid packages (with the bidder lists) into published and unpublished projects, which can save you a lot of time when building your project. 

To import past bid packages into a project

Start from the project’s “Bid Packages” tab. Click on “Import.”

Scroll or use the “Search” box to find a specific project or template by name This list consists of:

• Active (published) projects.
• Closed projects.
• Bidder list templates.

Once you find the appropriate project, click on the project’s name. In the second column, you will see a list of all the selected project’s bid packages. Click on the bid packages that contain the bidders you want to import. If you wish to import all bidders from all bid packages, click “Add all”.

Click "Add". 



This will import the entire bid package(s) from the past project or template. The following components will be imported:

• Number
• Name
• Keywords
• Bidders

Imported bid packages are not published so invitations or notifications have not been sent. The bid package lead will default to the project lead and can be changed at any time.
