What is Leaderboard?
Leaderboard is a tool included in your paid subscription to Bid Board Pro. It is a dashboard that quickly aggregates bid information by client, competitor and by estimator. This tool helps your team make fast and effective decisions on bids they have the highest chance of winning.
Leaderboard is a great way to get answers to key questions on your estimating team’s performance. For example:
- What is my "Hit Rate" with this particular general contractor?
- Which of my competitors is beating me on bids?
- Are competitors bidding low against me? Which ones, and by how much?
- How are the estimators performing?
Note: Leaderboard data is not automatically calculated and depends on information entered by your team into the “Internal Use” sections of your bids.
How do I access and filter the Leaderboard?
From the menu on the left, click on “Bid Board.” Then click on the "Leaderboard" tab.
At the top of the page, you can filter the stats for a specific office that you are in and also change the time period you are analyzing.
Note: If "All offices" is selected, you will see stats for all the offices you are a part of. However, if an office doesn't have Bid Board Pro, it will be grayed out. Opportunities owned by these offices are not included.
There are three views in the Leaderboard:
- Assignee: Aggregates information based on the assigned employee
- Client: Aggregates bid information by client company
- Competitor: Aggregates bid information by competitor. Competitor information must be entered in by your team in the "Internal Use" section on bids in order to information to populate here
How are values in the Leaderboard calculated?
Assignee and Client View
- # Bids: Total number of bids with "Date Submitted" during the selected time period
- # Bids Won: Total number of bids where the status is set as "Won" and "Outcome Date" from the "Internal Use" section is during the selected time period
- Total Bids Submitted: Total value of the "Bid Amount/Submitted Value" on bids submitted during the selected time period
- Total Budgets Submitted: Total values of proposal submitted on opportunities who request type is "Budget" during the selected time period
- Total Won: Total value of bids where the status is set as "Won" and "Outcome Date" from the "Internal Use" section is during the selected time period. The "Bid Amount/Submitted Value" is used by default, however if there is a "Contract Value/Final Value" entered in to the "Internal Use" section, that number will be used instead.
- Hit Rate (#) and Hit Rate ($): Click here to learn more and see how you can adjust the Hit Rate calculation
- Revenue / Estimating hour: This will only count the bids you’ve marked as either "Won" or "Lost". For revenue, we use the submitted value. If you have not inserted a value into the "Contract Value" field via your "Internal Use" section, we will use the amount you submitted as your bid to the general contractor.
- Largest Win: Largest "Submitted Value" for a bid in "Won" status during the selected time period
- Largest Loss: Largest "Submitted Value" for a bid in "Lost" status during the selected time period
- Total Lost: The total of the "Submitted Value" on bids in "Lost" status during the selected time period
- Total Client Lost: The total of the "Submitted Value" on bids in "Other - Client was not awarded" status during the selected time period
- Total Re-Bid: The total of the "Submitted Value" on bids in "Other - Project was re-bid" status during the selected time period
- Total Canceled: The total of the "Submitted Value" on bids in "Other - Canceled" status during the selected time period
- Total Other Outcome: The total of the "Submitted Value" on bids in "Other - See notes" status during the selected time period
- All the average columns such as Average Win Probability, Average Contract Duration, Average Contract Duration, Average ROM and Average Contract Value are based on the values that you have entered into the private “Internal Use” card of your bids.
Additional Notes
- "Other" and "Canceled" outcomes are not included in Win/Loss counts.
- Groups are counted as a single bid in won & lost calculations.
- Budgets are not included in any of the columns except for “Total budgets submitted” in the "Assignee" and "Client" tabs.
