How to set your start page, locale, time zone, and measurement units

BuildingConnected does its best to set your settings including locale and timezone automatically when you sign up for your account. If it needs to be updated, read below for instructions on how to make this change.

1. Navigate to your settings by clicking on the person icon located in the left-hand menu.
2. Click the “Account” tab.
3. In the "Other" section, click into any of the fields to open the corresponding drop-down menu. 
4. Select a start page, timezone, local, or measurement units. The drop-down menus contain the options we have currently available. Our system will automatically save your change and you may see your page refresh.
   
   
   
   

Each individual user sees locale and time based on the settings on their account. For example: 

• Bob is in California and sets bids to be due at 2:00PM PST on the project in his account.
• One of Bob's invited bidders is located in New York and their account is in East Coast Time.
• That bidder will personally see that are bids due at 5:00PM EST for this project.
