If you’re not receiving emails such as tender invites, project invites, password resets, or notifications, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:
Note: Even if you don't receive email notifications, your tender invites, qualification invitations, messages, and submitted proposals still appear in your BuildingConnected account.
Identify what type of email you are missing
- Tender invites: You were invited to submit a tender on a project but didn’t receive an email.
- Password reset: You requested access but didn’t receive the login or reset email.
- General Notifications: You’re not receiving updates (messages, alerts, etc.).
Confirm where the email was sent
For tender invites:
- Confirm with the sender (GC or project owner):
- Were you added to the tender list?
- Was your correct email address used?
- If your company was invited, check:
- Were you specifically added, or did your coworker receive the invite?
What to do:
- Ask the sender to resend the invite to your correct email
Check your account and email alignment
Many issues happen when emails don’t match your account.
What's happening:
- The invitation was sent to a different email address.
- An old or incorrect email address is on your account.
- You have multiple accounts.
What to do:
- Verify that your BuildingConnected account uses the invited email address.
- Log out and sign back in with that email address.
- Ask the sender to resend the invitation if needed.
Check your email delivery
If the email was sent correctly, check for delivery issues:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- If the email isn't there, continue with the next steps.
- Allow emails from BuildingConnected
- If you are unable to locate the email in spam folders, there may be an error on your email server causing the email to bounce. See How to allow emails from BuildingConnected and TradeTapp (Gmail) to learn how to resolve this.
