The optimization feature in BuildingConnected analyzes your bidder list and provides options to provide you with the most current bidder information from our network.
You can optimize an individual bidder list in a tender package or bulk optimize multiple tender packages at one time.
To optimize a bidder list in a tender package
1. Navigate to the "Bidders" tab in any tender package.
2. Click "Optimize".
3. Select from the options for optimizing your bidder list.
- Add a Primary Contact if applicable: Companies can specify their own primary contacts for their office. If a primary contact exists and is not yet added, they will be added to your bidder list.
- Add a Preferred Contact if applicable: You can set your own preferred contacts at companies. If a preferred contact exists and is not yet added, they will be added to your bidder list.
- Remove invitees with invalid emails: This is only available before a tender package is published. You can remove any invitees that have a invalid warning on their email. Learn more about this invalid warning in What is an “Invalid Email” and how can it be fixed?
4. Click "Review".
5. When there are optimizations available, a list will appear in a pop-up window. You can review each contact to see what BuildingConnected will do with it. In the "Action column, review whether a Add or Remove action or occur. In the "Action Reason", see the reason why that change will occur, matching to one of the optimization options, including Preferred Contact, Primary Contact, or Invalid Email.
If you do not want to accept a change, click the "x" to the right of that invitee.
6. Once you have reviewed, click "Apply".
7. Your bidder list will be updated accordingly with the corresponding invitees added and removed.
