How to invite subcontractors to projects using the slider feature

With BC Pro, you can utilize a slider to quickly add BuildingConnected’s recommend companies when inviting subcontractors to submit a tender on projects. 

Note: The slider feature is only available on unpublished tender packages.

To use the slider to add subcontractors to an unpublished tender package

In a project, click to open an unpublished tender package. 



Hold and drag the slider to the number of subcontractors you would like to add. The maximum number to the right is determined by the number of companies our recommendation engine recommends. These companies are determined by a subcontractor's trades performed, service area, proximity to project, and past relationship with your company. For more information on where the list comes from, see "How does the recommendation engine work?".

Please note that in order for the slider to work, your project must have an address assigned. For information on how to add a project address, please reference the article, “How to add a project address.”



One contact from each company will be automatically added to your tender package. If you want more than one contact to be invited, you can click "Add Subs" at the top of the list and click "Add" next to additional contacts for any companies. 

Once all subcontractors are added to your tender package, you can publish the project which will send invited subcontractors an email notification. For instructions on how to publish, see “How to publish a project on BuildingConnected.”
