Opportunity groups help keep your Tenders dashboard organized by allowing you to combine related opportunities into a single entry in your Tenders section.
Please note that the status you apply to an opportunity group is independent of the status of the individual tenders within the group.
- Update the status of the entire opportunity group
- Accept or decline individual tenders within a group
- Change the status of an individual tender within a group
To update the status of the entire opportunity group
There are two ways to change the status of an opportunity group:
- Directly from your Tenders page
- Within the bid “Overview” page
1. To change the status of a group from your Tenders dashboard, click on the green or red buttons under “Action.”
2. From the pop-up window that appears you can select an assignee for the entire group and add private tracking information. Select “Done.”
The second way to make this change is from within an opportunity group’s overview tab.
1. Find the group you wish to update. Click on the name of the group:
2. You will be directed to the group’s Overview tab. Here you can see the group’s status on the top right side of the page. As a reminder, the status of the group is independent of the status of the individual tenders within the group:
3. Click on the drop-down menu on the top right of the page:
4. Click on “Change group status.”
5. Click on the drop-down menu in the pop-up window that appears:
6. Select the status you want to set for the entire group and click on “Save.” You can only click “Save” if the status of the group has changed:
7. You’ll be taken back to the opportunity group’s "Overview" tab. Here you will see the updated status for the group. Since the group’s status is now “Accepted”, it will now appear under the “Accepted” tab in your Tenders section. Keep in mind that updating the status of a group does not update the status of the individual tenders within the group.
To accept or decline a single opportunity
There are two ways to accept or decline a single opportunity that is part of a group:
- Directly from your Tenders
- Within the bid “Overview” page
To accept or decline a single opportunity directly from the Tenders dashboard:
1. Click on “Click here to expand” to expand the opportunities within the group.
2. To accept, click on the green button. To decline, click on the red button.
To accept or decline a single opportunity from within a group:
1. To start, find the appropriate opportunity group in your Tenders dashboard. Click on the name of the group.
2. From the opportunity group’s "Overview" tab, look for the individual opportunity you want to accept or decline. To accept, click on the green button. To decline, click on the red button.
3. Once accepted, you will see the opportunity’s due date next to the individual opportunity.
4. Individual opportunities within a group that are declined are automatically archived, but remain listed in the group’s "Overview" tab.
To change the status of a single opportunity within a group
1. Find the opportunity whose status you wish to change. Click on the drop-down menu next to it.
2. Click on “Change status.”
3. Click on the drop-down menu in the pop-up window that appears:
4. Select the new status you want to set for the opportunity and click “Save.” You can only click “Save” if the status of the group has changed.
If you’re changing the status of a declined opportunity, be sure to deselect “Archive this opportunity” or the tender will remain archived.
Once you click "Save," the status will be immediately updated in the group’s Overview tab.
