You BuildingConnected profile needs to be verified when the email domain on the account does not match the domain that is associated with the company it is in.
For example, if your email has a common domain like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com, your account is unverified and cannot change or access certain information. This is a security measure set in place to ensure that users joining a company are verified to access company information.
To verify your profile
Contact the Lead in the office location you joined when you created your BuildingConnected profile. The office leads would have received an email asking them to verify your profile.
To find your office lead:
- In BuildingConnected, click on your company's name in the left menu.
- In the "Offices" tab, click on the office you are a part of. Your profile picture will be next to the offices you are a part of.
- The Lead column will be checked next to the name of the lead. Contact them to find the verification email in their inbox or you can resend the verification email.
Important: If you find that your office lead is no longer working for your company or you're in the wrong company, contact support.
To contact support:
- Click the "?" button in the bottom left corner to access our virtual assistant.
- Follow the prompts and describe your issue.
- You will be given some self-service options, and you can answer "Yes" or "No" when asked if they are helpful.
- If not helpful, you'll be able to choose to email or chat with our Support team.
To resend the verification email to your office lead
- Navigate to the "Projects".
- Click "Resend Link to My Office Lead".
