If you have BC Pro and PlanGrid, you can connect your accounts so you can easily transfer projects from BuildingConnected to PlanGrid. This will help you and your team seamlessly transition from pre construction to project management.
To connect your PlanGrid account to BuildingConnected
Click on the person icon on the menu on the left-hand side and navigate to the "Account" tab.
Scroll to the “Connected Accounts” section then click “Connect Account” next to PlanGrid.
Click “Connect to PlanGrid.”
Enter the email address your PlanGrid account is associated with then click “Next.”
Enter your PlanGrid password then click “Log In.”
Click “Give Permission.”
To push a project from BuildingConnected to PlanGrid
Once your accounts are connected, you can push projects from BuildingConnected to PlanGrid to easily transfer all files.
To do so, click the drop-down under the “Actions” column to the right of the project you would like to push to PlanGrid.
Click "Publish to PlanGrid project".
If you haven't already connected your PlanGrid account to BuildingConnected, you will be prompted to login to PlanGrid. Find a walkthrough of this process here.
Confirm that the name and location of your project is correct, then click “Push to PlanGrid.”
Your pushed project will appear on your “Projects” page in PlanGrid, and files and folders will appear in the "Documents" section as organized in BuildingConnected. Any team members who have joined your project in BuildingConnected will need to manually join the project in PlanGrid.
Please note that project files hosted on Box.com will not push to PlanGrid, and PlanGrid may not support all file types. If a file does not copy over to your project in PlanGrid, we recommend manually uploading the file directly to your new project in PlanGrid.
Once a project is successfully created in PlanGrid, you will receive an email notification detailing the number of files that were successfully pushed and if any files failed to copy over.
