Subcontractor companies sometimes have dedicated contacts for their bid invites. They may request that you send future project invites to that point of contact only. Continue reading to learn what steps to take if a subcontractor contacts you with this request.
Ask the subcontractor to set a primary contact on their account
Subcontractors have the ability to mark the primary contact for bid invites for the offices in their company. When a subcontractor does this, when inviting bidders, you will see "Primary Contact" listed under a contact's name and they will always be listed first for their company.
You can forward your subcontractors these instructions.
Assign a preferred contact
When inviting bidders, preferred contacts will be listed first for their company so that you can easily add them. Click here for more information on how to add preferred contacts.
Note: If a subcontractor has designed primary contacts for their office, those contacts will be listed before your preferred contacts.
Create a bidder list template and add contacts to it
Create and maintaining a bidder list template can ensure that you have a up-to-date list of the companies that your company prefers to work with. You can import a bidder list template into projects so that you ensure you invite all the companies you want to each time.
