As a subcontractor, when you decline a bid in your Bid Board, there is an option to add reasons for declining to help your team track why you did not choose to bid a particular opportunity.
There are two ways to include a reason for why you are declining to bid:
- If you have not yet declined the opportunity
- If you have already declined the opportunity or want to make any additional edits
If you have not yet declined the opportunity
Navigate to your Bid Board and double click into the opportunity in your “Undecided” folder.
In the opportunity, click “Decline” on the Overview tab.
A notification will pop up at the bottom right of your page, click on “Add reason for declining”.
A pop-up window will appear with a list of available options for declining. You can select any by checking the box next to the applicable item. Click on “Show more options” for more selections.
The reasons for declining will be tracked in the “Internal Use” card in the “Overview” tab.
If you have already declined the opportunity or want to make any additional edits
Within the opportunity, click into the “Decline Reasons” field in the “Internal Use” card. You can find this in the opportunity or on the side panel on your Bid Board.
Select all applicable reasons from the drop-down menu.
To remove a reason, click to the right on the “x” symbol next to the respective reason.
Click on the “Enter” key on your keyboard or click away from the field to save the changes.
Please note that you may see reasons already populated in this field. If you or a coworker, received the bid invite email and responded "Not Bidding" directly from the email, you may have seen a landing page as shown below with decline reasons listed. Selections made on this page will populate into this "Decline Reasons" field for your internal tracking.
