As a general contractor with BC Pro, you can copy projects from BuildingConnected to Procore.
Before doing so, please ensure your Procore account is connected with your BuildingConnected account. See “How to connect Procore to your BuildingConnected account.”
Please also note the following regarding the Procore integration:
- Copying a project to Procore can only be done once. It is a one time "copy and paste" from BuildingConnected to Procore. Once copied, the option will be greyed out and cannot be redone at any point on this project.
- Only project information and files are copied over. The integration does not include subcontractor information or bid values.
- You need to have Admin rights to create projects in Procore in order for this feature to work. BuildingConnected Support cannot grant access on your behalf. Please reach out to your internal team or Procore Support for further assistance if you do not have these rights.
To copy BuildingConnected projects to Procore
To begin, navigate to your Projects page.
Click on the project you would like to copy to Procore.
Click on the “Information” tab.
Click on the “Copy to" field and in the drop-down menu, click "Copy to Procore".
Select the company in Procore to copy the project to as well as which template you would like to use, then select whether you would like to include project files or not. Once all information is selected, click “Copy to Procore.”
Note: If your Procore Account is not connected to BuildingConnected, you will be prompted to connect and login with your Procore credentials first.
We will automatically create a new project in Procore and your project team will also receive a confirmation email with a link to the new Procore project. Only new projects can be created; the integration is not able to update existing Procore projects. All files from BuildingConnected (Project and bid package files) are sent into the Procore Documents tab.
Check out the video below for a step by step guide:
What if the files don't copy over to Procore?
The "Copy to Procore" feature can only be used once on a project. You cannot delete the newly created Procore project and copy the BuildingConnected project again to try to bring missing files over.
If files are needed, you can first download the files from BuildingConnected to your computer. Then, upload those missing files from your computer directly to the project in Procore.
