As a general contractor using TradeTapp, you can view a vendor’s submitted financials if you have financial, reviewer, or accepter permissions.
For more information on permissions settings, please reference the article, “What does each permissions level in TradeTapp mean? (General contractors).”
From your “Invitations” dashboard, click on the company you would like to view financials for.
Click the “Financial” tab.
Within the “Financial” tab, there are three different views:
- Financial Metrics
- Annualized
- Raw data
Financial Metrics
Your “Financial” tab will open to the “Financial Metrics” view. This view shows the vendor’s financial metrics, which are measures of financial health based on the vendor’s balance sheet(s) and income statement(s).
The metrics are highlighted in either green, yellow, or red to indicate low, moderate, and high risk, respectively. TradeTapp offers 19 liquidity, turnover, profitability, and debt metrics by default. You can add or remove metrics in the Financial Model settings. You can also incorporate custom ratios. Definitions for each of these metrics can be viewed here.
In the "Internal Reference" column, you can add a note to a metric for your team to consider. The note added to this column applies to all vendor profiles so that your team can reference it each time you review that metric in the Financial tab. Learn how to add an internal reference here.
Annualized
The “Annualized” view shows an overview of the vendor’s financials for each year that the vendor has submitted financial statements. In this section, you can see a breakdown of the vendor’s balance sheet(s) and statement(s) of income.
Raw Data
The “Raw Data” view shows all financial data submitted by the vendor and entered by your company in the “Financial Input” section.
To view files that were uploaded to the questionnaire, click “Documents” at the bottom of the “Financials” tab. Click on each file to view and download it to your computer.
