As a general contractor using TradeTapp, you can input a vendor’s financial information if you have financial, reviewer, or accepter permissions. You will need to manually add financial information for each new submission of financial documents unless your company has purchased data input services from TradeTapp as part of your subscription package.
If you are interested in learning more about data input services to automate financial input in TradeTapp, please contact us at info@tradetapp.com.

To manually input a vendor’s financial information
From a vendor’s profile, click the ellipses to the right of the listed questionnaire sections.
Click “Financial Input.”
Click on the document name on left-hand side.
If you received financial documents outside of TradeTapp and they haven't been uploaded to this page, this is also where you can manually upload them to perform the financial input so that they will appear. Please reference, "How to manually upload a financial document for a vendor in TradeTapp (General Contractors)".
You will now see a side-by-side view allowing you to perform the financial input. On the right-hand side is a rendering of the PDF document you selected. There are options to click the arrows at the top of the financial document to move back and forth between pages, rotate the page, or download the document to your computer. You can also use the magnifying glasses on the far right to zoom in and out for viewing.
Enter the metrics from the submitted financial statement in the corresponding sections on the left-hand side.
You can hover over the question marks above financial metrics for tips to help you input the correct information.
You must fill out all of the fields in exception to two sections on the bottom.
- For "Cash Flows", you can click the "here" if not applicable and all the fields will automatically turn to $0.
- The "Line of Credit" section is also optional
Sometimes when you click "Save" to keep your progress or complete your work, you may see colored notes.
- Orange Notes: These notes provide a warning when values do not balance as noted and the system detects a possible entry error. If the numbers are correct, you can disregard the messages, Once you have complete the required inputs, you'll be able to finish this work.
- Red Notes: These notes prevent the financial input from being complete as the values do not balance and the system will not be able to perform calculations. You will need to correct the value as noted in order to be able to "Finish" your financial input.
When you have completed all the required fields in the financial input and there are no red notes on any fields, the bottom right button will change to green and you can then click "Finish".
You will be brought back to the main Financial Input page where you can see your financial statement PDF is now under "Completed".
Click “Complete Application” to move the vendor’s submission to the "Complete" status.
A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm this status change. Also, as noted, any coworkers, who have their notification settings set as such, will receive an email when this vendor's application is "Complete".
To add an additional annual entry in a single document
If a document has two years worth of financial data in it (i.e the uploaded PDF contains 2016 and 2017 information), you can create two financial inputs for this document.
Click “Add Column Left” or “Add Column Right” to add an additional entry.
You can edit the year by changing the date in the “Statement Date” field and proceed to fill out the fields that correlate to this additional year. At any time you can click “Save" to keep your progress.
To remove an entry, click the red “x” in the top right corner next to the year of the statement.
Please note that you can only do two year entries at one time. You can not add any more additional columns to the left or right after this. To input additional year entries, please create new entries or access separate documents from the Financial Input page at the beginning of this article.
