Linking a BuildingConnected project to to an Autodesk Construction Cloud project connects workflows in BuildingConnected to ACC so that you can work efficiently on your project across a single platform. Learn more:
Note: Your BuildingConnected must be connected to your Autodesk ID to link a project to ACC. Learn more
To link a project to ACC
Open the project you want to link to ACC.
Click the arrow at the top right of the project.
Select "Link to Autodesk Docs".
In the pop-up window, click “Link to new ACC project or “Link to existing ACC project”.
In the pop-up window, click “Link to new ACC project or “Link to existing ACC project”.

Link to new ACC project: You must have permissions to create a project in the ACC account you select.
- If applicable, select the Autodesk Construction Cloud account your new project will go into.
- (Optional) Select a template to create the new project from. Existing project templates from your ACC account appear here.
- Edit the project number, name, and type. Click “Show more” to find currency and other optional fields.

By default, “Add Files to Autodesk Docs” is selected. All your existing files in BuildingConnected will be moved to Autodesk Docs so that you can manage them there.
Note: If you deselect this, any files previously in BuildingConnected will no longer be available in BuildingConnected or ACC. Only unlinking will return your files back to before you linked to ACC.

Click “Link project”.

Link to existing ACC project
- Click “Link to existing ACC project”.
- Click on an existing project from your Autodesk Construction Cloud account.

By default, “Add Files to Autodesk Docs” is selected. All your existing files in BuildingConnected will be moved to Autodesk Docs so that you can manage them there.
Note: If you deselect this, any files previously in BuildingConnected will no longer be available in BuildingConnected or ACC. Only unlinking will return your files back to before you linked to ACC.

Click "Link project" if you are not adding files to Autodesk Docs and your project will be linked or click “Next”.

Select a folder in the ACC project to sync and add your files from BuildingConnected to.
- Click "Add Files".
