As a subcontractor with Bid Board Pro, you can upload internal files to bids to share with your coworkers.
Client Files are the files shared by the client. Internal Files are files you upload that are only visible to you and your coworkers. They are not visible to the general contractor who created the project so thety can be any files that provide context for your own team members.
In this article, you'll learn how to:
To upload files for internal use
Within a project, click on the "Files" tab.
Click the "Internal Files" tab.
Click “Upload files” or drag and drop files from your computer here. You can also choose to create folders manually by clicking the blue down arrow and selecting "New folder". If you drag and drop folders of files, your folder structure will remain when uploaded.
Note: There is a file size limit of 500 MB per file.
You can also copy Client Files to your Internal Files to take advantage of takeoff features.
- To copy an individual file, click the drop down arrow for that folder or file and click "Copy to Internal Files".
- To copy multiple files, select the files and folders you want to copy and click "Copy to Internal Files".
- To copy all, click "Copy All to Internal Files".
To manage Internal Files
In the "Internal Files" tab, click the arrow next to a file or folder to manage it:
- Rename
- Publish file: Publishes this file to linked BC Pro projects. Learn more
- Download
- Delete
You can click a PDF file to open and view it. In the viewer, you can use the Bid Board Pro Takeoff tools.
