If you can't see projects or bids, the issue may be related to how your account is set up or where your invitation to bid was sent. Review these topics to troubleshoot your access to a bid.
- Your invitation to bid was sent to a different email
- You're marked as a vendor
- Employment confirmation is required
- You aren't in the right company
Your invitation to bid was sent to a different email
Check the recipient in the invitation to bid email in your inbox.
- If the invitation was sent to the email on your BuildingConnected account, it should appear automatically in your Bid Board. See How to find bids you've been invited to in your Bid Board.
- If the email doesn't match your account, you can:
- Ask the sender to send a new invitation to the email associated with your BuildingConnected account
-
Add the other email to your account so that any future invites sent to that address will be forwarded to your primary email address. See How to update the email address on your account.
You're marked as a vendor
What's happening:
You may be incorrectly marked as a vendor if you accessed the project from a forwarded invitation email.
In BuildingConnected, if you are marked as a vendor, you can't access messages, bid forms, or tracking. This role is intended for suppliers or other stakeholders who need to view the bid but not submit it.
You need to be directly invited at the email address on your account to have full access.
What to do:
You need to remove yourself as a vendor and ask the client to re-invite you.
- Copy the client's email address.
- Paste it into a temporary location so you can access it later.
- In the "Team Summary" section, click the drop-down arrow to the right of your name.
- Click "Remove".
- Email the contact you copied to request that they re-invite you to the opportunity directly via email.
Once the client re-invites you to the opportunity, the opportunity will reappear on your Bid Board. You will then have full access to change the status of your bid and view messages, bid forms, and tracking information.
Employment confirmation is required
If you don't see projects in the Projects section or can't access bids in your Bid Board, you may see a message that "Employment confirmation [is] required". This is a security precaution to ensure that you are verified to access your company's information.
What to do:
An Office Lead in your company must confirm your employment. They would have received an email when you created your account. Once they confirm, your company projects or bids will be visible.
- Identify an Office Lead.
- Ask the Office Lead to confirm your employment using the email they received.
- After your employment is confirmed, check your Projects or Bid Board again.
See How to get your BuildingConnected profile verified to learn how to find your office lead and get your employment confirmed.
