How to specify what work you perform in a TradeTapp prequalification

In a TradeTapp prequalification, in the "General" section, you will see the question "What type of work do you normally perform?". This question provides your client with accurate information about the specific work that your company can perform. 


 

To answer "What type of work do you normally perform?" 

Click on the "Choose a division" field and select from the options. 

The available options in the drop-down menu come from the CSI MasterFormat. This system was developed by the Construction Specifications Institute to organize construction specifications. Learn more about CSI MasterFormat in What Is MasterFormat? A Complete Guide to CSI Divisions.



(Optional) Once you select a devision, click the "Choose a specification" field and enter a type of work to search for or select from the drop-down menu. 

The options in this drop-down menu are more specific classifications based on the division that you selected. For example, if you select "9 0 0 Finishes" as the division, the available specification options allow you to detail further what type of Finishes work that your company performs such as 9 60 0 Flooring and 9 91 0 Painting.   

Note: For certain specifications, there can be an additional level of detail after this. Similarly, click on the "Choose an additional specification (optional)" field and select from the options.



Click "Click to add". 



The classification you selected will now appear in the "Your trades" list. 

To add another trade, select new options from the drop-down menus accordingly and click "Click to add" again.
