As a general contractor in TradeTapp, you can only edit the vendor's contact information or redirect an invitation if the vendor has not yet set a primary contact. This is because if a vendor already has TradeTapp invites, they already have an assigned primary contact, and it can only be changed by the vendor themselves. This article walks through when you are able to redirect an invitation.
Therefore, the option to edit will only appear in the toolbar for vendors who are in the "Not Started" application status and do not yet have a primary contact.
To see if you can edit a vendor’s contact information, from your “Invitations” dashboard, click the checkbox next to the company you would like to edit contact information for.
Scroll to the right in the Selected Vendors section and click “Edit Invite” in the action bar. If this does not appear, please read below.
A pop-up window appears. Please note that the initial contact will receive an email letting them know their invitation has been canceled. The new contact will receive a new invitation email. Click “Click to enter new email".
You can change the first and last name as desired, enter the email address of your preferred contact in the “Replacement Email” field, and add a custom message to send (optional). Click “Save.”
Why can't I redirect an invitation or edit a company's primary contact in TradeTapp?
If you select a vendor and the "Edit Invite" button does not appear, then you are not able to change the vendor's contact information (primary contact).
In this situation, you can proceed by letting your contact know that they will need to change the primary contact from their own company account in BuildingConnected.

The new contact will need a BuildingConnected account with their company.
- If they do not yet have one, they can create their accounts here.

Once they create their account, they may already have access to the TradeTapp invites to fill out your prequalification and update the primary contact. In BuildingConnected, TradeTapp invites can be found by navigating to the Qualifications section on the left-hand menu bar.
Note: If the user does not have access to TradeTapp invites, there will be a message on the page letting them know who they can reach out to within their company to gain access.
